Future Events
Pilgrim Manor has many long-term goals that we hope to accomplish in years to come. Find a few of these goals below.
Independent energy production
- One of our long-term goals is to be completely independent from the “energy grid”. We dream of producing our own energy through renewable sources such as wind, solar or geothermal. We know this is a long way off but by setting our goals high, we have developed a roadmap for success.

Social Capital
- Part of our definition of sustainability is those who live and work here. We understand that their embrace of these principles are key to the success of our efforts. We will continue to educate and involve those who help us define this movement within our community.
Localizing Food Systems
- Supporting local business is important to a thriving economy. Most of our current food supply has been grown in depleted soils, under an immense amount of fertilizers and pesticides, and then transported to local grocers by fossil fuels. West Michigan has amazing selection when it comes to food sources, so why not support local farmers and strengthen our local economy? At Pilgrim Manor, we hope to one day incorporate local food in our everyday meal services. By choosing local foods, we will grow our health, community and economy.
