Sustainability

What is ‘Sustainability’ at Pilgrim Manor?

Sustainability is a non-traditional strategy for business built around the Triple Bottom Line principles of restoring environmental quality and building social equity while increasing long-term profitability. Simply this means holding “People, Planet, Profit” in balance.

Sustainability at Pilgrim Manor is about caring for the environment while we provide the highest quality of life for our residents. It means educating people and getting people excited about learning how to care for the environment, whether in their jobs or in their own home. Sustainability at Pilgrim Manor is people- it’s the residents and staff who want to make a difference, starting right here in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

We are on a journey to become a Sustainable facility, and learning lots of lessons along the way. Check out our yesterday, today, and tomorrow to learn more about Sustainability at Pilgrim Manor!
